Anti-stress

The Pilates Method focuses on breathing and control which slows down the brain and promotes stress release. By learning to relax certain muscles while working others one can easily decrease tension in affected areas. This can help in fighting local pain, headaches, panic attacks and general anxiety.

Pilates also has a special advantage of being focused and therefore meditative in it’s working. The coupling of work and release during a training results in stress reduction for the mind and musculature. It results in leaving the practitioner refreshed and re-vitalized. Many students view their Pilates class as a treat and a re-charger in their busy lives!
